The Houston Astros have made an addition to their team late in the season. Houston has re-signed right-handed pitcher Héctor Neris to a deal to help bolster the bullpen down the stretch of the season.

Neris returns to Houston after leaving the organization this offseason. He signed with the Chicago Cubs on a one-year deal but was released by the Cubs earlier this week.

The right-hander was a major part of Houston winning the 2022 World Series, helping them take down the Philadelphia Phillies in six games. He threw a scoreless seventh inning in the clinching Game 6 victory, earning his first championship as a player.
