Awami League publicity secretary Abdus Sobhan Golap arrested

Awami League publicity secretary Abdus Sobhan Golap has been arrested. This was confirmed by a source of DB and Tejgaon Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mobarak Hossain.

The Intelligence Department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police informed about his arrest shortly before 3:00 on Sunday (August 25).

Incidentally, Abdus Sobhan Golap was the Member of Parliament for Madaripur-3 (Kalkini-Dasar-Sadar Constituency). He was defeated in the election in January this year. Before this, in 2016, he took the responsibility of the office secretary of Awami League. Later he was given the responsibility of publicity and publication editor. He was the special assistant of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Then after the 2001 national election, she visited various districts for overall evaluation and analysis of the election on the instructions of Sheikh Hasina and gave a report.
