Bail of 78 HSC candidates across the country

78 HSC candidates got bail from different courts of the country under the special initiative of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Haque. Among them 55 people from Dhaka Division, 14 people from Chittagong Division, 6 people from Khulna Division and 3 people from Rangpur Division. It is reported that 16 people got bail in Chittagong Division.

On Friday (August 2), the Ministry of Law informed that the Law Minister has taken a special initiative to bail the HSC examinees who were arrested in the context of the ongoing violence and vandalism related to the quota reform movement. For this, he has instructed the prosecution team (lawyer of the state) across the country to be proactive in granting bail to the students quickly.

In view of this directive, 37 candidates from Dhaka CMM Court and 5 candidates from Chief Judicial Magistrate Court got bail on Friday (August 2) as a holiday.

Their postponed exams are scheduled to be held from August 11.

Earlier, Law Minister Anisul Haque said that the government has taken measures to prevent any innocent person from going to jail in cases filed in connection with violence during the quota reform movement.
