Bangladeshis sentenced in Emirates will return home within a week

All 57 Bangladeshis imprisoned in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for protesting in support of the quota reform movement will be released within a week and sent back to the country, said Olora Afrin, a lawyer appointed by the Bangladesh government.

He also said that the country's court has already issued an order to release them from prison.

We have already submitted the required documents. Today the court has ordered to release them all in the same order, Olora Afrin said on Tuesday afternoon.

Earlier, the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan announced a general amnesty by waiving the sentences of all 57 Bangladeshis imprisoned on Tuesday morning.
