BCB will provide all kinds of legal support to Shakib

A case was registered against Shakib Al Hasan in Dhaka while he was playing in the recently concluded Rawalpindi Test. A total of 156 people have been accused in this murder case including Shakib. Shakib's performance in the second Test of the series was feared as he was accused in the case. But BCB dismissed it.

A lawyer has sent a legal notice to BCB to bring Shakib back to the country. Today, BCB has also answered that. Moreover, the board will provide all kinds of legal assistance to Shakib.

As long as Shakib's arrest warrant is not issued, there is no ICC or cricketing law barring him from playing for the national team.

On Tuesday evening, BCB president Farooq Ahmed said, 'Shakib's matter has been FIRed. We have responded to the legal notice from the board, as he is a contractual cricketer. We will support him legally from the board. He has no problem playing during this period.'

Bangladesh will visit India next month. Asked whether Shakib will be available in that series, the BCB president said, 'If he is fit, selected, then he will play in the India series.'
