Beijing will stand by Dhaka in reserve crisis – Bangladesh Diplomat

If there is a major reserve crisis in Bangladesh, China will be there on a priority basis, said Yao Wen, the country's ambassador in Dhaka.

On Sunday (January 28) at the Secretariat, Foreign Minister Dr. He said this after the meeting with Hasan Mahmud.

The Chinese ambassador also said that China is committed to the implementation of the Teesta project. The work will start after getting the consent of Bangladesh.

Regarding the repatriation of the Rohingya, Yao Wen said that China will start the repatriation of the Rohingya only when there is a ceasefire in Myanmar's Rakhine. Beijing is working for a ceasefire in the ongoing violence in Rakhine. The situation in Myanmar is complicated. The repatriation will begin through the tripartite agreement of the three countries.

Apart from the Chinese ambassador, UN resident coordinator Gwen Lewis, Nepalese ambassador Ghanshyam Bhandari will meet the foreign minister today (Sunday).

Meanwhile, heavy fighting is going on between the Junta forces and the Arakan Army in Myanmar's Rakhine State. In this, ordinary Rohingyas are trying to leave the state to save their lives. BGB has already taken a cautious position at the border to prevent new Rohingya infiltration.

It is known that in view of the ongoing conflict in Rakhine, the Rohingyas have been trying to infiltrate into Bangladesh for a couple of days. However, due to the strengthening of security in the border areas, they returned to their native places.
