BRTA campaign against additional fare collection in Chittagong


Chittagong BRTA has conducted an operation against collecting extra bus fare from homebound people during Eid.

This campaign was conducted on Sunday (April 7) from 7 pm to 9 pm at various bus counters in Alankar, AK Khan and Dampara of Chittagong city.

In the operation led by the learned executive magistrate of Chittagong Division, Mishkatul Tamanna, three buses were fined a total of 16,000 taka for collecting extra fare through the mobile court.

Magistrate Mishkatul Tamanna said that the list of fixed fares approved by BRTA is sent and warned not to charge extra fares to make the journey of the homebound people smooth and enjoyable on Eid.
