BTV Director General OSD, GM Nurul Azam

Director General of Bangladesh Television (BTV). Jahangir Alam has been made Officer on Special Duty (OSD). In an order on August 18, he was removed from BTV and assigned to the Ministry of Public Administration.

Currently, there is no one in charge of the Director General of BTV. He is scheduled to go on retirement from November.

On June 5, 2023, he took charge as the Director General of Bangladesh Television while being the Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Jahangir Alam. He is an 11th batch officer of BCS administration cadre.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, the post of General Manager (GM) of BTV's Dhaka center was also changed. Mahfuza Akhter was currently in charge of this post. He has been promoted to Controller Program Manager from his previous post. Nurul Azam has become the new GM in the current role. He was the message editor of BTV's Dhaka center.

A notification in this regard has been published on the website of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting today.
