Canceled the postponed examination of HSC, issued an order

The Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee has issued an order canceling the HSC and equivalent examinations. At the same time, the chairman of all education boards has been requested to take necessary measures in this regard. However, the board has not yet made any final decision regarding the preparation of the results and how they will be published.

The order was issued on Tuesday (August 20) evening. It was signed by Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar, Chairman of Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and Chairman of Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board.

It said that due to unavoidable reasons, the postponed examinations of HSC and equivalent examination 2024 have been cancelled. Requested to take necessary action in this regard.

Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar told the media that the examination has been postponed. Now, no decision has been taken on how the results of the remaining subjects will be prepared and published. All boards will discuss it. The Ministry of Education will also give instructions in this regard. Then how the results will be generated and published will be finalised.

Earlier, the chairmen of all the boards sat in the Ministry of Education meeting at the Secretariat under the chairmanship of the Education Adviser on Tuesday afternoon. There it is decided to take the pending HSC exams in half the papers. The re-examination date has been postponed by two weeks from September 11. However, the students did not accept this decision. They want to cancel the rest of the exams. Because they feel that many students are getting injured and receiving treatment and many are affected in various ways. Finally, due to the demands of the students, the examination of the remaining subjects was cancelled.
