Case against 39 people including former MP Syed Ibrahim and Zafar Alam of Cox's Bazar

In Chakria upazila of Cox's Bazar, a case has been filed against 39 people, including two former members of Parliament of Cox's Bazar-1 (Chakria-Pekua) Constituency, Major General (retd.) Syed Muhammad Ibrahim and Zafar Alam, on charges of extortion, encroachment and looting of 200 acres of shrimp enclosures. Syed Muhammad Ibrahim is the chairman of Bangladesh Kalyan Party and Zafar Alam Chakria is the president of Upazila Awami League. details
