CC camera in the bedroom, monitor in the madrasa teacher's room – Bangladesh Diplomat

Police raided a Kawami Madrasa in Jessore's Sharsha upazila of Jessore and seized the CC camera and a monitor from the teacher's room. Police launched a raid on Wednesday (April 7th) on the basis of the allegations filed by the parents. Police seized 4 CC cameras and other instruments from the madrasa.

Additional police superintendent of Jessore Nishat Al Nahyan said there were two teachers at the bottom of the five -storey building of the Qomi Madrasa. Girls from residents are educated on the four floors above. Girls had two night vision cameras in the bedroom. The monitor of that camera was in the teacher's room. They were seized by sending women policemen. There is a record of one month footage. Necessary measures will be taken by scrutinizing them.

The police official said the girls' bedroom cameras have been diminished by their personal privacy. No one can do it.

A guardian complained to the police superintendent of Jessore (SP) about setting up a CC camera in the students' room in the madrasa. In response to the allegations, the raid was carried out at the madrasa led by Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Kazi Najib Hasan and Additional Superintendent of Police Nishat Al Nahian yesterday afternoon. At that time, the madrasa teacher Abu Taher (1) took the police for questioning. Whenever he was called, Abu Taher was later released on condition of appearance.

Police said the madrasa authorities could not calculate how many girls were in the madrasa. However, police got the name of the girl. The number can be 1 to 5.
