Chhatra League leader beaten up in hospital


Chhatra League leader Dr. Rajshahi Islami Bank Medical College. There have been allegations of assault and beating on Mustafa Zaman Labib. He is the Publicity Secretary of Rajshahi Metropolitan Branch of Bangabandhu Chhatra Parishad.

He was brutally beaten while leaving the hospital on Monday (August 26) night. Later he was admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.

It is believed that this may happen due to the fact that Chhatra League is involved in politics and recently threatened to take a stand against ordinary students in the anti-discrimination movement.

Dr. Labib's mother complained, “My son was beaten immorally and needs better treatment.” My son has a broken arm and numerous bruises on his body. The boy was brutally tortured for belonging to a certain group. Didn't expect that at all.

However, the general students complained that Labib was threatening the general students in various ways by taking a stand against the ongoing student movement. On that day too, at one stage of the argument, he threatened to kill and beat him. Later common people and students beat him up as revenge for torture and threats.

The students claimed that Labib was colluding with the administration to suppress their movement and torturing ordinary students. As a result, the students got angry and attacked him.

In this regard, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rajpara Police Station of the city Mashiur said that till now no case or complaint has been filed in the police station in this regard. However, if a person complains, the police will definitely investigate and take action.
