Discussion of press council with Dhaka sub-editors

Dhaka Sub-Editors Council held an exchange meeting with Bangladesh Press Council. Meanwhile, the newly elected leaders of the organization discussed about improving the quality of journalism and various aspects.

On Tuesday (May 28) afternoon, a seminar and exchange meeting was held at the Bangladesh Press Council Auditorium in Topkhana of the capital. A press release informed this information.

Chairman of Bangladesh Press Councilor and Justice Md spoke as the chief guest in the event. Nizamul Haque Nasim.

Regarding the discussion and criticism going on regarding the mandatory degree pass for journalists, he said that it is not a decision of anyone. The issue of passing the degree has been decided by everyone.

Secretary of the organization Shyamal Chandra Karmakar spoke as a special guest on the occasion. President of Dhaka Sub-Editors Council Muktadir Anik presided and General Secretary Jawahar Iqbal Khan delivered the welcome speech.

Bangladesh Alor publisher and editor Mofizur Rahman Khan Babu, DSEC former president Ashraful Islam and Zakir Hossain Imon, senior member Mosharraf Hossain spoke on the occasion. Superintendent of Press Council Mohammad Sakhawat Hossain moderated the program.

The seminar and exchange meeting on 'Role of Media in Establishing Good Governance' organized by Bangladesh Press Council was attended by DSEC Vice President Ali Imam Sumon, Joint Secretary Monir Ahmad Zarif, Treasurer Nazim Ud-Daula Sadi, Organizing Secretary Shahid Rana, Office Secretary Zafarul Alam, Publicity and Publication Secretary. Apart from this, training and research secretary of DSEC was also present. Tarek Hossain Bappi, Sports and Cultural Secretary Nahid Hasan, Welfare Secretary Md. Safayet Hossain, women's affairs secretary Farhana Nazneen Flora, besides the newly elected DSEC executive members, organization members and various journalist leaders.
