Former Chief Justice Obaidul Hasan is in the country

Former Chief Justice Obaidul Hasan is said to be in the country. Earlier on Tuesday (September 3), several media outlets of the country published the news of Obaidul Hasan's departure to the United States.

However, he said, I am in Dhaka. I didn't leave the country. The news in some media that I have left the country is completely false. My red passport has been canceled by the government. So there is no question of leaving my country.

Before this, Obaidul Hasan sent his resignation letter to the President on August 10. In his resignation letter, he wrote, “I have to take this decision to protect the Supreme Court building and its records, to protect the court premises, to protect the judges' houses, to protect the judges' tower, to protect the judges from physical abuse and to protect the district judge's courts and record rooms.”
