Go to international court to get fair share of water: Khilafat Majlis


Amir of Khilafat Majlis Maulana Abdul Bachit Azad said that India's water aggression against Bangladesh should be stopped. India has to go to the international court to get its fair share of water, if necessary, a case has to be filed. India does not release water in summer season but opens the floodgates during monsoons and floods Bangladesh, this cannot be good neighborly behavior by any means.

He said these things in the speech of the chief guest in the rally after the protest march organized by Khilafat Majlis Dhaka Metropolitan on Friday (August 23) against India's water aggression.

Abdul Bachit Azad said that sudden floods have caused humanitarian disaster in various districts of the country including Feni, Noakhali, Comilla. In this situation, government administration, army, navy as well as all political and service organizations have to jump into rescue and relief activities.

Dhaka Metropolitan South President Prof. Maulana Azizul Haque presided over the gathering and spoke among others Naibe Ameer Maulana Sakhawat Hossain, Maulana Ahmad Ali Kasemi, Joint Secretary General Jahangir Hossain, Muhammad Muntasir Ali, Professor Md. Abdul Jalil and others.

Before the rally, a protest march from Baitul Mukarram North Gate passed through Paltan Junction and met the rally on the road adjacent to the Vijayanagar water tank. Protest marches were held in different districts of the country including Sylhet metropolis, Barisal metropolis, Khulna metropolis, Rangpur metropolis in protest of India's water aggression against Bangladesh.
