I pray that God will keep you well.' Ranu Begum, who lives in a polythene-wrapped shack behind a banana bush, was saying the words happily after getting a new house.

It is known that 60th Ranu Begum is a resident of East Nalta area of ​​Bhumkhara Union of Naria Upazila of Shariatpur. He got married 50 years ago in Saheberchar area of ​​Kedarpur Union of the same upazila. Having suffered several river erosions, she lost all her livelihood and moved to the capital Dhaka with her husband and children. Ranu Begum returned to her father's house four years ago after being a burden to her children in a family of financial difficulties.

As the condition of the brothers was not so good, besides working in other people's houses for a handful of food, he was living by building a shack house covered with polythene and cloth on a piece of land by the roadside. When the news about him was published in various media, the matter came to the attention of Member of Parliament AKM Enamul Haque Shamim. He took immediate action. Naria Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Parvez and local UP chairman Alamgir Hossain went and fixed a place for Ranu Begum's house. After that, the work of building the house began. Ranu Begum moved into a new house on Saturday (April 6). Besides, the member of parliament has sent Eid gifts for him. Ranu Begum expressed her gratitude to the local parliament member Enamul Haque Shamim in a video call in her new house.

Ranu Begum was overwhelmed with emotion and said, 'Once it was very difficult to live in a shack in the middle of the banana trees on the roadside. I got wet in the rain and became silent. I am singing a song in winter. MP Bhai himself is coming to see me after the news was reported by the journalists. He made me a new home. I am very happy today.'

Ranu Begum's brother Noor Haque Chayal said, 'MP Saab himself has made a big house for my son. Sending gifts for Eid. We all pray for MP Saab.'

Chairman of Bhumkhara Union Parishad Alamgir Hossain said, 'We informed the local parliament member AKM Enamul Haque Shamim after learning about the matter through the media workers. He visited the site and promised that a new house would be built for Ranu Begum before Eid. Today Ranu Begum got up in her house. The MP kept his word. Ranu Begum is very happy to get a new house.'

Member of Parliament AKM Enamul Haque Shamim said, 'I saw the news through the media and went to see Ranu Begum myself. There is no decision to build a new house for Ranu Begum before Eid by the 'Begum Ashrafun Nescha Foundation' established in the name of my mother. We were able to present the new house to Ranu Begum before Eid. I am always by his side.'
