Shahnaz Begum, the wife of the deceased Milon, filed the murder case at Siddhirganj police station on Sunday (August 18). The deceased Milon used to trade fish in Siddhirganjpool area. His village home is in Jhatka village of Angaria union in Dumki police station of Patuakhali.

Siddhirganj Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Abu Bakar Siddique confirmed the murder case.

One of the defendants in that case are Shamim Osman's son Ayan Osman, nephew Ajmeri Osman and Narrayanganj Metropolitan Awami League Organizing Secretary Shah Nizam and others.

According to the statement of the case, earlier on July 21, Milan Mia, a fish trader of Nashik 1st Ward, was going to catch fish at the Shimrail junction of the Dhaka-Chittagong highway. At that time, the people of Awami League, Jubo League, Chhatra League got together and opened fire on the assembled student crowd under the orders of accused No. 1 to 3. Milan Mia was shot in the chest and fell on the ground.

At that time, the people around with his two sisters Shakib and Manik rescued him and first took him to the local Kanak hospital. Later, when his condition deteriorated, he was taken to Pro-Active Medical College Hospital, Signord, where the doctor on duty declared him brought dead.

Earlier, the deceased's elder brother filed a case against 48 people including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Awami League General Secretary and former Minister of Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader, former Member of Parliament Shamim Osman for the murder of Abul Hasan (20) in Missionpara area of ​​the city on August 5 at Narayanganj Sadar Model Police Station.
