Mustafa Amin, who gathered people in Shahbagh in the name of giving loans, was arrested

Shahbag police arrested ABM Mustafa Amin, the convenor of the non-violent popular uprising in Bangladesh, for the crime of gathering people from different parts of the country in the capital with the promise of giving loans. A case has been filed against him, Shahbagh police officer-in-charge OC Md. Khalil Mansoor confirmed.

He said, primary evidence of his involvement in gathering people from different parts of the country in the capital by offering interest-free loans. That's why we arrested him.

He will be produced in court on Tuesday (26 November) and remanded.
