Mysterious stabbing death of mother with unborn child

A woman named Seema Akter (22) and her seven-month-old baby died after being stabbed in Jatrabari area of ​​the capital. Seema's unborn child died overnight after being injured on Tuesday (August 27), and she too died on Wednesday (August 28).

The attack took place at a house behind Jatrabari Shahid Zia School and College around 9.30 pm on Tuesday night. Relatives took the injured pregnant mother to Dhaka Medical College (DMC) Hospital. Seema was 22 years old.

The victim's father and brother said that Seema went to his father's house after Tuesday evening. There an intruder enters the house and stabs Seema before she realizes anything. Then he wanted to say – I am pregnant, don't kill me. But the killer did not listen to her words and quickly escaped after stabbing her.

They said that Seema was lying on the ground after being stabbed. Later the family members rushed him to Dhaka Medical College (DMC) Hospital. After admission there, the fetus (son) was surgically removed on Tuesday night at approximately 12:30 in the gynecology department. But the child died shortly after. Seema was under treatment in critical condition. He also died around 3:30 pm on Wednesday.

But Seema could not say anything about who the killer was and why he stabbed him. The victim's brother Nasir and cousin Musharraf said that Seema's husband and father were not at home at the time of the incident.
