Order the police to take the case-GD quickly

The Ministry of Home Affairs has ordered all police stations of the country to take cases, GDs and FIRs quickly. At the same time, it has been ordered not to delay the investigation.

Today Wednesday (August 21) a circular has been issued with such an order from the Police-3 branch of the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

According to the circular, there have been reports of delay in receiving the complaint at the police station in various complaints and in the media. Again there is disapproval and delay in receiving GDs, FIRs and cases in police stations. In this regard, instructions have been given – necessary legal action should be taken quickly in receiving GD, FIR and cases. Examination and investigation proceedings cannot be prolonged.

The circular also said that Bangladesh Police is an important institution in ensuring public safety. This institution will promptly investigate various public complaints and take necessary legal action to restore its dignity.

Apart from this, the circular has also been asked to be distributed to the Directorate of Police, Inspector General of Police, Commissioners of Police of all Metropolitan and DIG ranges and all Superintendents of Police.
