Pubo's vacation canceled, control room open

Bangladesh Water Development Board (PUBO) has canceled the leave of all the officials and employees due to flash floods in the northeastern part of the country. At the same time, a control room has been set up at the Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre.

The Water Development Board informed this information in a circular yesterday (August 21). In the notification, all the field level officers and executive engineers of the respective zones are requested to contact the control room through e-mail or phone regarding flood emergency information.

It was also informed that the leave of all the officers and employees of the offices of the North-East region will be canceled until further orders.

Incidentally, some districts of the country have been flooded due to continuous rains and landslides coming down from India. Residents of several districts including Chittagong, Brahmanbaria, Comilla, Feni, Noakhali, Moulvibazar, Rangamati have suffered greatly.
