Riazul Hasan is the new chairman of NCTB

Prof. AKM Riazul Hasan has been appointed as the new chairman of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB).

This information is known from the notification signed by Chowdhury Samia Yasmin, Deputy Secretary (College-2) of Secondary and Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education on Saturday.

Prof. Riazul Hasan is a professor of political science department of Govt. Rajendra College, Faridpur. He also served as the chairman of the department. Apart from this, he also served as Member (Primary Education) of NCTB.

Professor Farhadul Isla was appointed as the chairman of NCTB for the second term on July 28. After the fall of the Awami government, he voluntarily resigned on August 19.

It should be noted that the curriculum of the primary to higher secondary level of the country is formulated through the National Curriculum and Textbook Board. Apart from this, free books are also given to primary and secondary level students through this organization.
