Skeletons stolen from 9 graves in one night in Munshiganj

It has been alleged that 9 skeletons were stolen from a cemetery in Munshiganj's Srinagar in one night. This incident created a sensation in the area.

On Sunday (May 26) morning, a skeleton was stolen from the cemetery of Beltali Jannatun Noor Mosque in Atpara Union of Upazila. At that time the locals came to the spot and found 9 graves dug.

Locals allege that partial or complete skeletons of dead people have been stolen from excavated graves for a class of witchcraft, sorcery and blasphemy.

Assistant treasurer of the cemetery. Shahidul said, after receiving the news, he went to the spot and saw that the soil had been dug up in different parts of some graves. The grave pits are covered with earth. A complaint will be filed at the police station in this regard.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Srinagar police station Mohammad Abdullah Al Tayweer said, some parts have been lost from several graves. The theft will be investigated and legal action will be taken. I have not yet received a written complaint in this incident.
