The students said that just one month ago, the dictatorial government fell in the students' movement. Bangladesh got a taste of its second independence. Thousands of students had to give their lives in exchange for this freedom. Thousands of students and general public were injured. Many are crippled, many are still in hospital beds. This program is for their respectful remembrance. Under the banner of anti-discrimination student movement, the students started the movement demanding reform of quota in government jobs in the beginning of last July. At one stage of the attack and persecution to suppress this movement, it turned into a movement to overthrow the government.

Faced with the agitation, Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post of Prime Minister on August 5 and fled the country to India. This ended the rule of Awami League for almost 16 years. Three days after the fall of the Awami League government, on August 8, the Nobel Peace Prize winner Dr. The Advisory Council of the Interim Government was sworn in under the leadership of Muhammad Yunus.
