The decision taken by the government in view of the demands of Ansar

According to the press release sent by the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Chief Adviser has been informed about the demands of General Ansar. The demands raised by the Ansar are being reviewed by the Government with keen attention and sympathy.

According to the news release, initially some of the claims appeared reasonable. In view of that, the government has taken some decisions. They are-

a) In the case of general Ansars who are given rest after 3 years of service, the issue of continuing service without rest will be examined.

b) For the time being, no new appointments will be made as General Ansar.

Besides, the notification said that the committee formed under the leadership of the director general of Ansar and VDP along with the representatives of general Ansar will review all the demands raised by the general Ansar and make logical recommendations and submit a report to the government within seven (07) working days.

After receiving the report from that committee, an inter-ministerial committee will examine the recommendations received and decide the course of action for implementation and submit the report to the government for further action.

Through this, it is hoped that a reasonable and acceptable solution to the demands of the common Ansars will be found in the notification.

The notification also said that Ansar-VDP is a well-disciplined group. Nothing should be done which tarnishes the reputation and image of this traditional force. In view of this, all ordinary Ansar members are being called upon to return to their workplaces and join the work. A handful of provocateurs are trying to create chaos in the orderly force. If necessary, the government will not hesitate to take legal action against them.
