The price of gold increased further

Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has announced to increase the price of gold in the country's market again. The company said that this price has been increased in view of the increase in the price of acidic gold in the local market.

This information was informed in a press release signed by Masudur Rahman, chairman of the Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee of Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) on Thursday (August 22). The new prices will be effective from tomorrow Friday (August 23).

According to the new prices, the price of best quality or 22 carat (11.664 grams) gold is Tk 1 lakh 26 thousand 6, 21 carat gold is Tk 1 lakh 20 thousand 279, 18 carat is Tk 1 lakh 3 thousand 98 and traditional method Each load of gold will be sold at 85 thousand 241 taka.

1 lakh 24 thousand 502 taka, the price of 21 carat filled gold is 1 lakh 18 thousand 833 taka, 18 carat is 1 lakh 1 thousand 862 taka and traditional method will be sold at 84 thousand 214 taka.

Although the price of gold has increased, the price of silver has been kept unchanged. According to the category, currently the price of 22 carat silver is 2 thousand 100 taka, 21 carat is 2 thousand 6 taka, 18 carat is 1715 taka and the price of traditional silver is 1 thousand 283 taka.

On August 20, the price of best quality or 22 carat (11.664 grams) gold was Tk 1 lakh 22 thousand 985, 21 carat gold was Tk 1 lakh 17 thousand 398, 18 carat was Tk 1 lakh 625 and traditional gold was Tk 83 per lot. Sold for 1099 rupees.

Apart from this, the price of 21 carat gold was fixed at 1 lakh 18 thousand 833 taka, 18 carat was 1 lakh 1 thousand 862 taka and traditional method gold was 84 thousand 214 taka.

Last year i.e. 2023, the price of gold in the country's market increased several times. As a result, for the first time, the price of good quality gold has crossed Rs. Last year, the jewelers association adjusted the price of gold about 29 times in the country's market. Among them, the price has been reduced 11 times, increased 18 times.
