Rain started from 5 am on Tuesday. Khilkhet, Baridhara, Mirpur, Shyamoli, Kalyanpur, Mohammadpur, Dhanmondi, Gulshan, airport and surrounding areas received torrential rain. At this time there was intermittent lightning.

Office going people and students have suffered in this morning rain. Besides, flooding has occurred in many places of the city. Earlier, the weather forecast predicted rain across the country on Tuesday.

According to the notification, many places of Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and some places of Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barisal divisions may experience light to moderate rain with gusty winds or thunder. Also, there may be moderate to heavy rainfall in some parts of the country.

The weather forecast for the next 24 hours from 6:00 PM on Tuesday (September 03) states that there will be light to moderate gusty winds at many places in Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and at some places in Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions and at two places in Khulna and Barisal divisions. Showers/thundershowers possible. Also, there may be moderate to heavy rainfall in some parts of the country. During this time, the day temperature may drop slightly across the country and the night temperature may remain almost unchanged.
