Vipatseema touches Kaptai lake water, decision to open the dam at night

Kaptai Dam, the only hydropower plant in Bangladesh, is under threat as the water in Kaptai Lake increases. The dam control authority has decided to open 16 sluice gates to reduce the water pressure in the dam. The 16 gates of the dam will be opened at 10 pm this Saturday. details
