What the Meteorological Department said about the heat wave


There may be light rain in one or two places in the four divisions of the country including Dhaka on Tuesday. However, mild to moderate heat wave may continue across the country.

The Meteorological Department has given this information in the weather forecast for the next 24 hours from 9 am on Tuesday.

According to the Meteorological Office, mild to moderate heat waves are flowing over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and may continue.

In the meantime, public life has become miserable across the country in summer. In intense heat, people are unable to sleep even with fans running at night. However, meteorologists said that there is no immediate relief from this fire.

Earlier, the country's highest temperature of 40.2 degrees Celsius was recorded at Khepupara in Patuakhali on Monday. The maximum temperature in Dhaka was 37.8 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday and Thursday, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions may experience rain and storm. According to the Meteorological Department, the heat wave may be removed from those two regions.
