Which Cadillac Cars Will Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas Drive Off Track?

While the Cadillac F1 team’s driver lineup, comprising Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas, will be driving Ferrari-powered cars in the team’s debut season in 2026, little has been spoken about their rides off the race track. General Motors’ Cadillac has many appealing options, and with Perez preferring practical big cars in daily life, could he get his hands on the latest Escalade?

The eleventh F1 team has come a long way since it received its F1 entry approval from the Formula One Management early this year. Not only did the team finalize its power unit supplier, Ferrari, but it also enhanced team infrastructure and sped up hiring to ensure it is race-ready in March next year.

What adds to the excitement of Cadillac F1’s debut season is that it syncs with the beginning of a new regulatory era next year, when newly designed cars will roar through Grand Prix venues, powered by engines that are fueled equally by electric power and internal combustion magic.

Speaking of Perez and Bottas, it is clear that F1’s second American team prioritized drivers with extensive premier class experience over anything else. While it is clear what kind of cars they will be driving next year, it remains to be seen what cars Cadillac will give them to reach Grand Prix circuits.

Many F1 drivers make it to their offices in supercars or on flamboyant superbikes, such as Lewis Hamilton. That is one advantage drivers from top teams such as Ferrari, McLaren, and Mercedes enjoy. For the Cadillac F1 drivers, though, they could appear in the majestic Escalade, according to a report.

It would be no surprise if they are seen in the CT5-V Blackwing or the electric Lyriq SUV. Our imagination suggests that both drivers could be seen in the 2026 Celestiq, a 655-horsepower electric style statement, which Cadillac claims will hit 0-60 MPH in just 3.7 seconds.

Although the options aren’t lightning-fast supercars, they do make their own statement when one pulls up in the driveway. Perez would especially prefer the practicality of Cadillac’s off-track lineup, since he appreciates them in his day-to-day life, despite having a Ferrari 458 in his garage. He told Evo UK:

“I have a Ferrari 458 but I don’t use it very often. You know, I have four kids at home so I’m always driving a big car in traffic. So yeah, when I’m at home I don’t really think about driving for fun. I think I get enough of that in Formula 1. Once I retire I will probably be looking for straight roads that are free of traffic.”
