Awami League will protest

After the fall of the Awami League government, the United States Awami League has announced a protest program during Professor Yunus's visit to New York to protest against the attacks on the party's leaders and workers.

Along with displaying the flag, the party's leaders and workers will protest at JFK Airport tomorrow. On the day of the Chief Adviser's speech at the United Nations, they have taken permission to hold a protest rally outside.

United States Awami League President Siddiqur Rahman said, “Murder cases are being filed against millions of Awami League leaders and activists, including the outgoing Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, and numerous leaders and activists are being arrested every day. Bangladesh has been turned into a sanctuary of persecution.

“A deep-seated conspiracy of torture and looting of activists' houses, as well as arson and killing of religious minorities is going on in Bangladesh under the interim government led by Nobel Peace Prize winner Muhammad Yunus. Demonstrations will be held at JFK Airport and in front of the United Nations to protest these incidents and demand the withdrawal of all cases filed against Sheikh Hasina.” He said that permission is being taken for the protest outside the civic gathering place.
