4 members of juvenile gang arrested for robbing friend's autorickshaw

Money is needed to spend on Eid and to collect that money, a friend's throat was cut and an auto-rickshaw was robbed. The robbers left the young man dead after cutting his throat. But the driver survived. The victim and the abductor are all acquaintances and friends. The auto rickshaw driver called his friend and took him to a secluded place and tried to kill him. He is currently undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU) of a private hospital in the capital. And the police arrested 4 friends in this incident.

Dhaka District Additional Superintendent of Police (Keraniganj Circle) Shahabuddin Kabir, South Keraniganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mamun Or Rashid and investigating officer of the case Deputy Inspector (SI) Alak Kumar and others were present.

Before this, the incident took place in Keraniganj, near Dhaka, on Wednesday around 11 pm. The victim autorickshaw driver has been identified as Shaun Das (20). He is the son of Ram Chandra Das of Muhuripatti area of ​​South Keraniganj. The arrested persons in this incident are Shakil Ahmed alias Hanchka Shakil (20), Sajib Mia (21), Alamgir Hossain (20) and Anand (20), the head of Kishore gang Hanchka group.

Dhaka Police Superintendent confirmed the matter. Asaduzzaman said that the police came to know through the national emergency service number 999 last Wednesday night that an autorickshaw driver named Shaon was seriously injured in Swapnadhara Model Town area of ​​South Keraniganj. Police rushed to the spot and took him to Sir Salimullah Medical College Mitford Hospital. Shaon's father filed a case against unknown persons in South Keraniganj police station as plaintiff. Later, the police identified the persons involved in the incident with the help of information technology and analyzing the CCTV camera footage of the area around the incident. Then Shakeel, Sajeev, Alamgir and Anand of the youth gang Hanchka were arrested. Arrested Anand supplied the knife used in the throat slit. Based on the information given by them, the knife and the autorickshaw were seized.

Citing the interrogation of the arrested, the Superintendent of Police claimed that Shakeel, Sajib and Alamgir planned to rob their friend Shaun's autorickshaw to collect money for spending on Eid. Alamgir called his friend Shawn to go around with autorickshaw. At one point they took him to a secluded place inside Sapnadhara Model Town in Dakshin Keraniganj. After reaching there, Sajeev grabbed Shaun's face from behind. Alamgir then laid on the ground and held his feet. Then Shakeel tried to kill Shaun by cutting his throat with a knife. Alamgir and Sajeev stabbed Shaon in different parts of his body with a knife. After some time, when Shaun passed out, they left him for dead and hid the auto-rickshaw in a forest near the spot. But luckily Shaun survived. After about two hours, the police rescued him and took him to the hospital. Later, Shaun was admitted to a private hospital in the capital. He is currently undergoing treatment there.
