This year's SSC and equivalent exam results have been released. This year 83.4 percent students passed. Among them, the pass rate in Dhaka Education Board is 89.9 percent, Chittagong Board 82.80 percent, Comilla Board 79.23 percent, Jessore Board 92.3 percent, Barisal Board 89.1 percent, Dinajpur Board pass rate 78.4 percent.
On Sunday (May 12) morning, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina announced the results by pressing a button virtually in a ceremony at the official residence Ganabhaban.
Earlier, Education Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury handed over the statistics of the combined results of SSC and equivalent examinations to the Prime Minister.
The chairmen of 11 education boards, including nine general, one madrasa and one technical, handed over the results of their respective boards to the prime minister.
At around 11 o'clock, the results were published simultaneously in the respective educational institutions and online.
After the official announcement students can know the result through SMS.
They can also check their results by visiting the website www.educationboardresults.gov.bd.
About 20 lakh 24 thousand 192 students from 29 thousand 735 educational institutions participated in SSC and equivalent examinations in 3 thousand 700 centers. The examination which started on February 15 ended on March 12.
