US wants to improve relations with Bangladesh: Salman F Rahman


Prime Minister's Advisor on Private Investments Salman F. Rahman said that the US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Donald Lu has spoken about the development of America's internal relations with Bangladesh.

He said this after having dinner with US Assistant Secretary of State Donald Lu, who is visiting Dhaka, in Gulshan on Tuesday (May 14) night.

Salman F. Rahman said, besides strengthening relations, the United States wants to work together in many sectors, including the issue of climate change. Besides, the issue of ban on RAB and the return of Bangabandhu's fugitive murderer to the country were discussed.

When talking about Palestine, Donald Lu said that the United States wants a permanent solution to the Palestinian issue.

Earlier, Donald Lu landed in Dhaka on a Sri Lanka Airlines flight around 11:30 pm. Lu was welcomed at the airport by the Director General of the North American Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Khandaker Masudul Alam.
