'Bangladesh has become a good investment area'

Commenting that there are many potential investment sectors in Bangladesh, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina called upon US businessmen and investors to be partners in the journey of building a developed, prosperous, smart Bangladesh. He also said that Bangladesh is giving the most policy benefits in terms of investment.

A high-level executive delegation of the US-Bangladesh Business Council paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister at Ganabhaban on Monday (May 27).

Meanwhile, Sheikh Hasina called upon the United States to become a long-term partner in achieving Bangladesh's development goals.

He said that Bangladesh is giving utmost importance to improving the investment environment. Bangladesh offers the most policy advantages for investment in the entire region. Because, our government is giving the highest priority to investment. The Prime Minister mentioned that Bangladesh has become a good investment area due to the close communication system with the neighboring countries.

Calling upon the United States to support the journey of Smart Bangladesh, the Prime Minister said that Bangladesh wants to work with regional partners as well as global partners including the United States to further advance economic and commercial relations.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, 'Many potential investment sectors have been created in Bangladesh. Among them, I call for investment in renewable energy, shipbuilding, automobile, pharmaceuticals, heavy and light industry, ICT, marine resources, chemical sector.
