The private school, college and madrasa committees were dissolved

All private school, college and madrasah committees of the country have been dissolved.

In the existing situation, the Ministry of Education has removed the presidents of the governing bodies and managing committees of all private educational institutions. However, other members of the committee will remain in their positions.

Divisional Commissioners, DCs, UNOs have been given the new responsibility of the Board of Directors of these institutions.

This information was informed in a notification of the Ministry of Education on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the notification, the governing bodies or presidents of private educational institutions have been removed. At the district level, the nominated representative of the district administration and the district commissioner, at the upazila level, the upazila executive officer at the upazila level and at the metropolitan level, the nominated representative of the divisional commissioner and the divisional commissioner have been given the responsibility of the president. They will perform this duty until further orders.

A notification in this regard has been issued by the Secondary and Higher Education Department of the Ministry. These things were informed in the notification signed by Senior Assistant Secretary Mohammad Tauhidul Islam.

In the notification, it is also said that in the existing situation, the position of president of the governing body and managing committee of the private educational institution has been given as per the 68 of the Governing Body and Managing Committee Regulations of Private Educational Institutions, 2024.
