2 kg heroin seized at Satkhira border

BGB has seized two kg of heroin from India at Kakdanga border of Kalaroa upazila of Satkhira. However, it was not possible to arrest anyone in this incident.

The heroin was seized from Dakal Mor area of ​​Kalaroa upazila early on Wednesday (August 21).

Satkhira BGB 33 battalion captain Lt. Colonel Md. Ashraful Haque confirmed this.

He said, based on intelligence information, Naib Subedar of Kakdanga BOP in Kalaroa Upazila. A smart team under the leadership of Abu Taher Pathwari took covert position in Dakal Mor area of ​​the border. At that time, the smugglers sensed the presence of the BGB and fled through the dense forest in the dark of night. Later BGB personnel searched the area and seized two kg of Indian heroin from a bag. The estimated value of which is about 40 lakhs.

He also said that the process of filing the General Diary (GD) in the Narcotics Control Directorate of Satkhira district is under process for taking legal action against the seized heroin.
