Democracy is impossible without voting: Dudu

BNP Vice Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu said that it is impossible to establish democracy in the country without voting. For that, as soon as possible, the nation must face elections in a democratic manner, according to the constitution.

He said these things in front of the National Press Club on Friday (August 30) during a stand program to demand the immediate withdrawal of all cases and sentences of dictators against Begum Khaleda Zia and Tariq Rahman initiated by the Bangladesh Civil Rights Movement.

Dudu said martyred President Ziaur Rahman, Begum Khaleda Zia, Tariq Rahman are symbols of democracy. BNP is a symbol of democracy. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Sheikh Hasina, Awami League are symbols of fascism. Those who cannot understand this difference will not be able to understand and explain what is happening in the politics of Bangladesh.

The former convenor of the Krishak Dal for the interim government said that he gave back the voting rights of the hardworking people, the common people and the rickshaw pullers. Give them the right to vote and elect their representatives.

He said, this country is ours. We have to protect this country. There are some miscreants around trying to extort money. Our leader Tariq Rahman said that those who will extort those who are criminals, hand them over to the law. There can be no compromise in this place. For the sake of the country, for the sake of democracy, for economic sake, for political sake, there is no exemption for those who commit crimes. We have been protesting against them for the last 17 years now there is no compromise with them. Whoever they are.
