Weather warning with low pressure, signal in port

The low pressure over the Bay of Bengal has turned into a pronounced low pressure. In this situation, the seaports of the country have been asked to show warning signal number 3.

This information was informed in a warning of the Department of Meteorology on Saturday (September 7).

It is said that the low pressure located in the Bay of Bengal and adjacent North-West Bay of Bengal area is moving northward and concentrated and is staying in the same area in the form of a clear low pressure.

It can be more concentrated. Due to this, there is a lot of variation in air pressure in the North Bay of Bengal area. Gust or gusty winds may occur over North Bay of Bengal, coastal areas of Bangladesh and seaports.

In this situation, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra seaports have been asked to show local warning signal number three.

Apart from this, fishing boats and trawlers stationed in North Bay of Bengal have been asked to approach the coast with caution till further instructions.
