General Secretary of Awami League and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has urged to resist communal evil forces in the spirit of liberation war.

On the occasion of the historic Mujibnagar Day, this Wednesday (April 17) morning, he made this call to the journalists after paying tribute to Bangabandhu's portrait in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum No. 32, Dhanmondi.

He said, the main obstacle in the way of consolidating the victory of Bangladesh is this communal evil. Whose sponsor is BNP. This evil must be resisted in the spirit of the liberation war. By defeating the terrorist forces including BNP, the country will move towards victory.

The bridge minister said that efforts to build a prosperous Sonar Bangla will be continued in the spirit of the liberation war. Anti-independence and terrorists including BNP will be defeated.

Obaidul Quader said, today we will defeat, overcome, resist the anti-independence terrorist forces, including BNP, all the evil forces who are obstacles in the way of our prosperity and we will take our fight forward. The dream of victory is on the way. Regarding the demand to declare BNP Day as Republic Day, Awami League General Secretary said, I cannot say anything about any demand in isolation. There is a cabinet, there is a prime minister. It is also necessary to know why they are raising the demand after so many years.

The bridge minister said that on this day we will take an oath in the spirit of the liberation war and we will move forward in continuous struggle to build Bangabandhu's dream of Sonar Bangla under the leadership of Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina. We will carry Bangabandhu's dream to build a developed and prosperous Bangladesh. In the Mujib Bengal of 2100, this is our oath.

Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid tribute to Bangabandhu on the occasion of Mujibnagar Day. Later, members of Awami League, affiliates and fraternal organizations paid tribute to Bangabandhu by placing flowers on his portrait.
