Biden apologized to Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky apologized for the late delivery of weapons under a new military aid package earlier this year. He apologized in a meeting with Zelensky on Friday.

Biden said, 'You know, you haven't given up, you haven't given up hope at all, you've kept fighting in a way that's just awesome, awesome and we're not going away from you.'

Explaining the arms delay, he said, 'I apologize for not knowing for a couple of weeks what was going to pass on funding, because we had trouble passing the money bill that some of our Conservative members were holding back, but we got it resolved.'

Biden also announced the signing of another new aid package on Friday.

“Since then, including today, I've announced six packages of significant funding—today I'm signing an additional package of $225 million to help rebuild your electric grid,” he said.
