Permanent member of Bangladesh Secretariat Reporters Forum (BSRF) and senior reporter of Dainik Saman. Rezaur Rahim's mother Rokeya Islam passed away on Saturday (March 23) at 2 pm while undergoing treatment (Innalillahi… Rajiun). He was 75 years old. Yesterday, when he suffered from a heart attack, he was first admitted to the Heart Institute of the capital. After that he was taken to the Kidney Foundation Research Institute in Mirpur on the advice of the doctor. He died there.
Bangladesh Secretariat Reporters Forum President Fasih Uddin Mahtab and General Secretary Masudul Haque along with members of the executive committee have expressed deep grief over the death of Rokeya Islam. Condolences have been conveyed to the bereaved family members of the organization.
Late Rokeya Islam Swami Md. Nurul Islam is survived by many relatives and well-wishers including four sons and two daughters. He will be buried in the family graveyard at Dariyapur village of Aminpur police station in Pabna after the funeral at 10 pm on Saturday.
