Chance of cyclone from low pressure, Kalbaisakhi will attack again


One to two low pressure areas may develop in the Bay of Bengal in the second half of this May. Out of which there is a possibility of developing into a low pressure or a cyclone. Meteorologist Abdur Rahman gave this information to reporters on Monday (May 6) morning.

He said, in the long-term weather forecast for May, we have said that low pressure may occur in the Bay of Bengal in the second half of this month. Maybe one to two low pressures may develop in Bay of Bengal from 15th onwards. There is a possibility that the low pressure will develop into a low pressure or a cyclone.

This meteorologist also said that there may be isolated rain earlier. He said that the trend of rainfall will continue till 11-12 of this month. Besides, on Saturday we issued a warning of Kalbaisakhi. In the next 72 hours, there is a possibility of isolated thunderstorms, gusty winds, gale force winds and hailstorms in the country. At this time, he advised everyone to stay in safe shelter during lightning.

He said that the maximum rainfall of 124 mm has been recorded in Sylhet's Srimangal in the last 24 hours. Besides, 36 mm of rain has been recorded in Dhaka and 37 mm in Chittagong. There is a possibility of rain in some places of Barisal, Khulna Division and Rajshahi Division in the next 24 hours. Along with this, there is a possibility of rain in Dhaka, Mymensingh, Sylhet and Chittagong divisions. But today we expect rainfall to spread in Khulna division.

Stating that the intensity of the heat wave will decrease, he said that the ongoing heat wave is more likely to subside from today. I am not expecting any more heatwave in the country till next 12-13th.
