As per the forecast, day temperatures will remain low across the country today and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged. Day temperature will drop tomorrow too. Both day and night temperatures are likely to drop on Friday.
In addition to rain, the Meteorological Department has predicted scattered hailstorms over the country for the next three days. Meteorologist said in this context. Bazlur Rashid said, 'As the weather has cooled, the amount of rock will decrease. Scattered hail may occur at one or two places where the cloud height will be high.'
He said, 'Our minimum temperature has dropped to 20 degrees Celsius. The southern part of the country is slightly higher—26 degrees Celsius. Due to intense heat wave, where the maximum temperature was above 42 degrees, the maximum temperature was recorded at 35 degrees Celsius yesterday.'
In response to the question of how long the rain will last, the meteorologist said, it seems that the rain may last for at least five more days. At this time, almost all parts of the country can experience rain at least once in 24 hours.
He said that if the trend of rains decreases, the heat wave may come again. Bazlur Rashid said, 'There is a danger of heat wave again this month. The heat may come at the end of the second week of the month or the beginning of the third week.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has recorded the maximum rainfall of 51 mm in Rajshahi till 6 am on Wednesday (May 8). Besides, 10 mm rainfall was recorded in three hours till 9 am in the capital Dhaka. At this time, the country's highest rainfall was recorded in Maizdicourt; 15 millimeters. At the same time, Rangamati received 10 mm, Patuakhali and Bhola 9 mm, Barisal 8 mm, Khepupara 7 mm and Sandwip 5 mm.
