Hezbollah's ballistic missile attack on Mossad headquarters

The Lebanese armed group Hezbollah said it launched a ballistic missile attack on the headquarters of Israel's intelligence agency Mossad in Tel Aviv.

AFP reported this information on Wednesday.

The organization also said that the main planning of recent Israeli attacks against Lebanon and Hezbollah came from Mossad headquarters.

Hezbollah has been attacking the Israeli border almost every day since the beginning of the Gaza war, which began with an attack by Hamas on Israeli territory on October 7. The organization claims that they are carrying out these attacks in solidarity with Hamas.

However, this is the first time Hezbollah has claimed to launch a ballistic missile attack on Israeli territory.

Earlier, the Israeli military claimed to have intercepted a missile fired from Lebanon. At this time, air raid warning sirens sounded in Tel Aviv.

Hezbollah said in a statement, “Today, Wednesday, 25 September 2024, at 6:30 AM local time (9:30 AM Bangladesh time), we launched a 'Qader 1' missile attack targeting the Mossad headquarters located in the suburbs of Tel Aviv.”

“This headquarters is responsible for the assassination of our leaders and the detonation of pagers and other wireless devices,” added Hezbollah.

It should be noted that many people including a top commander of Hezbollah were killed in Lebanon in the Israeli attack last week.

The organization also said the attack was carried out in support of the people of Gaza and “in defense of Lebanon and the people of Lebanon”.

Lebanon has recently replaced Gaza as the main target of Israel's deadly attacks.

Lebanon's health ministry said at least 558 people have died in the country since Monday. This is the worst incident of violence since the country's civil war from 1975 to 1990.
