Anu Muhammad, former professor of economics department of Jahangirnagar University, said that there is no special difference between the views of the previous government and the current government regarding the demands of the workers, the views and role of the interim government are the same as the previous government. At the same time, he condemned the denial of the workers' movement by calling it a conspiracy.
He made this comment in an event at Dhaka Reporters Unity on Saturday.
Anu Muhammad criticized the role of the interim government in the labor movement. He said that working people had a big role in the movement of students. But the government does not seem to solve the basic problems of the working people or stand by them.
He said the workers protested in view of specific demands. But no attention was paid to their demands. In this regard, the vision and role of the interim government is the same as that of the previous government. Similarly, the campaign against all movements by calling them 'conspiracy, outsiders' continues. Anu Muhammad also commented that this is happening because the attitude towards the workers and the legal framework have not changed.
It is to be noted that the labor and employment adviser of the interim government, Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, said that outsiders including Awami League people are behind the labor unrest in various places on September 4, and action against them will start from today (September 4).
