Several countries, including Palestinian political parties, have condemned the provocative speech of the Minister of Internal Security of the Israeli government regarding Al-Aqsa Mosque in Palestine. The Muslim world has called for the historic and legal status of the holy site to be respected.
Israel's Internal Security Minister Itmar Ben Gavir is known as an 'extremist'. Recently announced that he plans to build a separate synagogue for Jews in the Al-Aqsa Mosque area.
According to Israeli media, the Israeli Ministry of Historical Monuments has also announced the allocation of five million dollars to support Ben Gavir's plan to surround the Al-Aqsa Mosque area.
After Israel's announcement, Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanani X (former Twitter) wrote in a post, “The criminal Israeli cabinet is trying to implement its malicious plans on Al-Aqsa Mosque.” They have gone so far as to brazenly talk about building a separate house of worship for Jews in Al-Aqsa Mosque'.
He warned, “Iran strongly condemns such plans and Israel should be careful about the consequences of destroying the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and any further aggression there.”
He also writes, currently the conscientious people of the world are standing against the Israeli crimes. Especially the Muslim world and freedom lovers are united today in supporting Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Palestinians and punishing the criminal Israel.
Regarding this, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Al-Safadi also wrote in a message on his personal account on the social network X, that the UN Security Council must urgently take effective measures to stop violations of international law in holy places such as Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Safadi emphasized at this time that the Israeli regime is threatening to destroy the nature of Al-Aqsa Mosque by adopting hateful ideology.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia has also criticized Israeli Minister Ben Gavi's statement regarding the construction of a place of worship in Al-Aqsa Mosque. The Muslim world will not tolerate repeated hurting of Muslim sentiments, it warned.
Saudi Arabia insists on respecting the historical and legal status of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Authority, led by Mahmoud Abbas, also responded to Ben Gavi's statement on the construction of a Jewish place of worship at the Al-Aqsa Mosque. He said that Israel has taken this step as part of its plan to push the region towards a religious war.
The Palestinian Authority also said that American political, military and financial support made Israel more reckless in genocide and the destruction of Muslim holy sites.
In this regard, the Palestinian independence organization Hamas said in a statement that the Israeli government's decision to allocate funds for the attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque, considered one of the holiest places for Muslims, will raise tensions to a dangerous level. Israel is playing with fire and trying to push the region into a crusade. Israel will pay a heavy price for this.
In the statement, Hamas reminded the 57 member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation-OIC of their responsibility to protect Baytul Muqaddas from Israel through concerted action.
The fact is, the idea of demolishing Al-Aqsa Mosque and building a synagogue there is rooted in the Zionist faith and has been nurtured by extremist Jews for years.
