The police have given several suggestions to the citizens to celebrate the upcoming holy Eid-ul-Azha safely. These suggestions were given by the police headquarters on Thursday (June 13).
Transportation of sacrificial animals and safety of animal markets:
Do not transport sacrificial animals in unfit vehicles. Be careful when buying sacrificial animals online. Hang a banner in front of the animal transport/boat with the name of the destination/hut. Do not transport excess animals in trucks, launches or trawlers. Maintain night vigil through community policing to prevent theft/robbery of sacrificial animals.
Money Transaction:
Make money transactions through banks. Seek police assistance for large financial transactions or money transfers. If any note is suspected to be fake, report it to the police immediately.
If you suspect someone to be an unknown party, fraudster, extortionist or extortionist, report it to the nearest police immediately.
REQUEST TO PASSENGERS:
Plan your Eid trip with enough time. Consider the safety of yourself and your family members while traveling. Do not urge the driver to drive faster. Do not risk your life as an extra passenger on the roof of buses or travel in trucks, pickups and other goods vehicles. Use zebra crossings or foot overbridges to cross roads. Where there are no zebra crossings or foot overbridges, cross the road safely by observing the movement of vehicles. Seek police assistance if necessary. Do not drive recklessly or joy ride with private vehicle. It is life threatening. Do not eat from strangers.

Request to Launch/Steamer/Speedboat Owners:
Operate the vessel by a prescribed number and grade of master and driver. Stop boating in inclement weather. Arrange for temporary closure of both sides to prevent free movement of passengers on the master bridge of the vessel. Place enough buoys in the launch.
Request to Launch/Steamer/Speedboat Operators:
Leave the port with the boat knowing the weather forecast. Avoid transporting cargo in passenger seating areas on deck. Keep sufficient number of buoys/life jackets in the boat. If there is a threat of storm during the voyage, move the boat to a safe place or keep it ashore. Keep mobile phones and radios on board and listen to regular weather bulletins. Use weather apps if necessary. Avoid operating boats without valid documents. Ensure correctness of all fire pumps and fire fighting equipment. Provide 100-150 feet rope buoys and life jackets on boats to identify distressed boats.
