Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid her respects at the mausoleum of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Tungipara, Gopalganj. He also participated in Fateha recitation and special prayers.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina traveled by road to Tungipara of Gopalganj today (Friday) at around 7:30 a.m. on a one-day visit. He reached his home and constituency Gopalganj around 10:15 am.
At that time, family members including his younger sister Sheikh Rehana, brother Sheikh Helal were present with the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister will provide agricultural inputs and cash assistance from private funds among the members of the Dandiyarkul Cooperative Society under the 'Amar Bari Amar Khamar' programme. Apart from this, he will exchange views with local Awami League leaders and workers. After that, Sheikh Hasina will return to Dhaka in the afternoon.
Meanwhile, the administration has taken strict security measures in the district including Tungipara around the Prime Minister's visit.
