Saudi Arabia demands to prevent drone and missile attacks on oil fields and airfields

Saudi Arabia's defense ministry spokesman said on social media X that six drones targeting an oil field and a ballistic missile targeting an airfield were intercepted by their forces.
The drones were detected and destroyed in the 'Empty Quarter', a vast desert in southern Saudi Arabia. The area has rich oil fields like Shaybah. Shaybah oil field was the target of this attack.
According to Saudi Arabia's national oil company Aramco, the field produces 1 million barrels of oil per day.
Meanwhile, the ballistic missile was heading towards the Prince Sultan airbase. The base was used by the US Air Force as part of preparations for an attack on Iran. Source: BBC
